When I was little my mom use to use counting games to keep us occupied, while driving ccross county. The long drives just were to long for me and my brothers. Now that I got my own kids, and like the long drives, had to come up with something to occupy my kids, I tried the games that my mom used with us, but my kids got bored to fast. So one day my husvand and myself started asking them some history questions and facts about animals til they got the question right. It seemed to me that they were enjoying themselves. Now when we have to drive to town to pick up my husband from work, they ask to play the history game, my son who is in 1st grade, after listening to his sister has been getting a lot of questions right. The questions don’t have to be that hard, but trying to get the question right before the others playing seems to make the time fly by while we are driving and the kids don’t complain the whole drive.
