A guide to Indian desserts you shouldn’t miss out on!

India offers one of the biggest varieties of sweets that you could possibly imagine and you should make sure to try some of them. Here are a couple of luscious desserts that you should not miss out on.

1) Falooda Kulfi is Indian ice-cream with spaghetti-like topping covered mostly with a sweet syrup like rose.

2) Kheer is similar to milk rice but with a twist which comes in the form of opulent saffron, pistachios and cardamoms.

3) Ras Malai is probably unlike any dessert you have ever tried before. It is made of chewy cottage cheese dumplings soaked in sweet creamy milk. It was one of my favorite desserts!

4) Mango Duet is one thing you have to try. It is an ice cream on a stick and can usually found on any ice cream stand. This milk ice cream has a scrumptious mango covering that can prove to be very addictive. And I am talking from experience here!

5) Kaju Burfi is not really something you order in a restaurant but more of a take away sweet. They are small diamond shaped cut outs made of cashews and covered with a shiny silver foil.
