Barq’s Famous Olde Tyme Root Beer
Barq’s Famous Olde Tyme Root Beer is th first nationally sold root beer soda pop to contain caffeine. Here in Idaho Barq’s Famous Olde Tyme Root Beer is only available caffeine free. The taste is the same but Barq’s Famous Olde Tyme Root Beer is a very popular root beer here in Idaho. Barque’s is not as smooth tasting as say, Shasta Root beer. It has a slight aster taste that remains on the roof of the mouth after taking a swig of it. I do not usually drink Barq’s Famous Olde Tyme Root Beer however when I plan on making a root beer float I will usually buy Barq’s Famous Olde Tyme Root Beer. The after taste combined with the vanilla taste of the ice cream flow together to excite my palette.

Iron Port
Hands down my favorite specialty drink. There are only two places I can go in southern Idaho where I can buy an Ironport. They sell it at the Tastee Treet Home Of The Spaceburger in Pocatello and also the Tastee Treet Home Of The Spaceburger in Chubbuck Idaho. A few other places in Idaho and Utah also sell Iron Ports. For a complete listing of know places to buy an Ironport check out the Wikipedia entry for Ironports.
Jolt Cola
Jolt Cola is know for its extra caffeine. It has double the dosage of caffeine as opposed to regular colas. Jolt is the original “energy drink”. This drink was popular among younger people. They didn’t necessarily drink Joly for the taste, but for the reputation that Jolt had. Parents would read an article about Jolt and then forbid there kid from drinking it. Being forbade, the kid would now want to drink Jolt.
Jolt is just a basic cola with additional caffeine.
Whenvere ypu travel always keep your eyes peeled for a new soda pop to try.
