Fort Toulouse: Camping with a Bit of Alabama History Tossed in
Originally constructed by the French, Fort Toulouse was a sort of watch tower over the Coosa and Tallapoosa rivers. It was essentially the gateway to the French colonies in Louisiana which eventually became the state of Alabama.
