If we want to describe the par excellence of Simla in a nutshell, we have to explain it in terms of Pine Forests and apple orchards, crisp, clean air and breathtaking views. It is the largest hill and was the summer capital of the British India. The town sprawled over 12 km on a crescent shaped ridge in descending layers from the top. Spreading over several hills like the Jakhu, Prospect Hill, Observatory Hill, Elysium Hill and Summer Hill, the town covers 2,213 meters. Though the town is a tourist paradise but it is also worth of visiting in the off-season. Being less crowded, one can fulfill the desire and satisfy their heart with the pleasurable loneliness of the hills.
