Enjoy the spectacular waterfalls of British Columbia.

Most of the great waterfalls of British Columbia are here. The province is so loaded with waterfalls it would take one years to see them all.

Helmcken Falls

Helmcken Falls is located in the Wells Gray Provincial Park in British Columbia along the Murtle River as it spectacularly plunges 463 feet over a cliff face. Helmcken Falls forms a huge ice cone in the winter and is one of the tallest single drop waterfalls in Canada.

Takakkaw Falls

Takakkaw Falls is located in Yoho National Park in British Columbia. Takakkaw means magnificent or wonderful in the Cree language and one can see why from these falls. At 1,248 total feet, Takakkaw Falls is one of the highest waterfalls in Canada and it is glacially fed as one can see here.

Located in Strathcona Provincial Park on Vancouver Island, Della Falls is generally considered to be the highest vertical height waterfalls in Canada at 1,444 feet and one of the highest in the world. Della Falls is difficult to reach and requires an all day hike after you take a boat across Great Central Lake.

Spahats Creek Falls

Spahats Creek Falls is located in the Spahats Creek Provincial Park near the Wells Gray Provincial Park. The total height of the falls is some 246 feet but that includes a second tier and the height shown here is some 197 feet. Whatever the height, Spahats Creek Falls is quite spectacular.

Alexander Falls

Alexander Falls is located in southwestern British Columbia, west of the ski resort town of Whistler. Alexander Falls is fed by Madely Creek and consists of 3 drops totaling some 141 feet.

Brandywine Falls is located in Brandywine Falls Provincial Park, 7 miles south of Whistler, British Columbia. The falls are fed by Brandywine Creek and tumble some 216 magnificent feet. Reportedly named by a surveyor who won a bottle of brandy betting on the exact height of the falls.

Wapta Falls is located at the southern edge of Yoho National Park. Though not one of tallest waterfalls in Canada at 98 feet, Wapta Falls has tremendous power spread out over some 500 feet along the Kicking Horse River.

Canim Falls is located in central British Columbia inside the Wells Gray Provincial Park. The falls are formed from the Canim River soon after it leaves Mahood Lake and tumbles some 59 feet over lava cliffs in striking fashion.

Keyhole Falls plunges 75 feet through a carved canyon slot that looks like a keyhole. Located along the Lillooet River along the southern coast mountains in British Columbia.

Shannon Falls is located in Shannon Falls Provisional Park along Route 99 about 35 miles north of Vancouver, British Columbia near Squamish.  Shannon Falls is formed where Shannon Creek tumbles 1,105 feet down the glacially carved walls of upper Howe Sound.

Helmet Falls is located in Kootenay National Park in southeastern British Columbia and falls an amazing 1,100 feet in two drops.

Located in Yoho National Park is Laughing Falls. The falls are formed as Little Yoho River squeezes out of a small slot gorge and bursts outward in a furious roar and drops some 100 feet.

Slollicum Creek Falls is located in Sasquatch Provincial Park and falls some 1,200 plus feet in a series of falls along the Slollicum Creek.

Nigel Falls

Nigel Falls is located in Banff National Park along the Icefields Parkway as Nigel Creek plunges 200 feet.

Twin Falls

Twin Falls is located in the Yoho Valley in Yoho National Park and is formed as the Twin Falls Creek is forced apart by a massive block of limestone and then falls over the cliff for some 600 feet.

Odegaard Falls

Located in the Nusatsum Valley in Bella Coola, British Columbia is the beautiful Odegaard Falls as it tumbles 918 feet along the Nusatsum River.
