Save your budget, don’t waste money.

Save your budget, don’t waste money.

Trader Joe’s: They don’t use preservatives and artificial stuff in most of their food if you can find one that is not too far, they have great prices on a lot of things. Trader Joe’s also still has the best prices on fish. Also, halal toothpaste and toothbrush can be found because they don’t use animal products Tom’s of maine.

Fresh and Easy: has a pretty good price especially on selected items for grocery shop not that good. They seem to have good prices on dairy products. Some people say that Fresh & Easy good for a single person, not for family buys. They do have some great prices on marked down items, but I never buy the week’s groceries there. They have a limited selection, but some good specialties.

Winco or Food 4 Less: Saving money on most foods and especially Food4Less is a lot cheaper.

99 cent store: To find some small storage containers it is the cheapest. Make sure you buy the brands familiars with you. They also have paper plates, plastic cups, trash bags aluminum foil and trash bags. You can’t see what the difference is whether you buy a box of raisens from Vons or other markets for almost 3.00 when you can buy the same brands from the .99cent stores. They even have paper towels for.99 cents and they are better than the cheap ones you can buy in the grocery stores. Also, plastic items are cheaper that other market but is it worth to shop there?

Pavillions is generally more expensive.

One store stay away from is Ralphs due to its high prices on most items, but has the best prices on milk, if you buy 2 gallons at a time.

Also ANS and other iranian market’s products are familiar, prices are not high, and quality is trusted. Most Turkish and helal foods you look is found there such as Turkish baklava, simit, lahmacun, cheese, and sucuk.

In conclusion, it really depends on what you buy on a regular basis. Making a list of essentials and compare prices are strongly suggested — write them down in a notebook. Then adjust your shopping to include different stores depending on which has the best price on specific items you need that week.

When things are on sale, stock it up. Use your freezer.
