Dog friendly parks in San Diego.

Do you have canine friends? Do you hate having to walk your dog on a lease? Wouldn’t it be nice to have your dog run freely with the wind flowing thru their fur? Well there is a place where your dog can have his freedom to roam around and meet other dogs as well. There’s nothing more joyful than playing and getting exercise with your dog. It is called Dog Beach. It is located in Northern Ocean Beach.
Dog Beach is the original dog beach and one of the most popular places to take your dog. San Diego’s Dog Beach has been a legal off-leash destination since 1972. It has 38 acres of sand where the San Diego River meets the Pacific Ocean. It is known as the Ocean Beach Flood Control Channel. You can go anytime during the day or even if you want to see the beautiful moon out, it is open at night. In the summer San Diego beaches are subject to red tides. You need to remember to lease your dog from your car to the beach though.
I have brought my dogs here and I love it. It is awesome to see my dogs get along with other dogs. It is weird though. It seems like at Dog Beach the dogs leave their attitudes at home and get along with all the dogs. On weekends there are up to 100 dogs. So, you have to pay a close eye on your dog. I do recommend that if your dog has a biting problem then you should put a muzzle on it. The address is:

West Point Loma Boulevard
San Diego Ca 92107

Fiesta Island, Mission Bay, is another great place for your dogs. The whole island is leash-free. The thing about Fiesta Island is that it is a very busy spot for vacationers and on holiday weekends. It is a great place in the summer to ride your jet skis and take your boats out. So, if you want to go somewhere on a holiday weekend or a vacation and want to take your dog, Fiesta Island is the place for you.
The Nate’s Point Dog Park might be one of the most popular dog parks. It is used every day of the year. It too is an off-leash area and is located on the West Mesa of Balboa Park. The off-leash area is approximately 2.3 acres in size, and has been used as a dog park since 1996. The park is completely fenced, and amenities include drinking fountain, picnic tables, and double-entry gate. It is next to one of San Diego’s greatest attractions, Balboa Park.
