Melrose Avenue: Hollywood’s Hippest Must Do Shopping Experience

An all-day, unforgettable, unique, trendy outdoor shop-walking experience.

Today I decided to re-visit Melrose Avenue. It’s a notable place for great shopping and attracting locals and tourists alike. For the same reason I love New York City, I love Melrose Avenue. Both locales allow you the unique “walking-culture”. In other words, the best part of the experience is that you have blocks and blocks of walking to do and shops of all different products and price ranges to discover.

And, it’s truly an all-day excursion, literally. Today, I left my place around 12 noon and didn’t end up leaving until about 5pm. I really could’ve stayed longer, but as I was perusing a really cool jewelry shop, I overheard some guy talking about needing to check his 2-hour parking and realized that I parked in a 2-hour parking zone as well! Luckily, it seems like the parking monitors are pretty lax in the area though, because I was there for almost 5 hours, wow!

If you love shopping, I recommend this as one of the coolest, trendiest places to visit. If you’re on a budget, you can get the feel for high fashion by visiting stores like Diesel, getting the star treatment, by having staff wait hand and foot on you, making you feel like a superstar or supermodel, and then let them know you need to think about any purchases and then spend your hard earned dough on bargain shops you find along the way.

I must admit today I really tested what I believed was somewhat of an impulsive nature by trying on what I’d say was one of the most phenomenal outfits I’ve tried on in my life. A pair of $240 Diesel jeans, a $540 leather jacket to go hungry for, an $80 cleavage hugging button down rustic shirt, a $50 orange beaded necklace that hung like a chrystal chandelier, a $50 rockstar silver and leather cuff, and an $80 vintage leather belt that accentuates the hips perfectly. I was rocking a $1020 outfit and it felt amazing.  The sales people were treating me like I could afford it, and I wasn’t flinching each time they brought over a new outfit.  I loved it.  And, trust me, I was tempted, because high fashion clothes are made to make your body fall in love with them.  They hug your curves to runway perfection. And if that wasn’t enough, in another store I found this unique, Elizabethan-styled corset sleeveless black top for $160’s. These items were truly the trendy shopping connoisseur’s dream. I imagined them in my daily life, and then with as much will power as possible, walked a bit further and purchased a $25 dollar dress and $13 earrings.
