Yosemite National Park is located in California, in the United States of America.

The closest airport to Yosemite National Park is Merced Municipal Airport. Fresno-Yosemite International Airport is also nearby.

Where is Yosemite National Park Located?

Yosemite National Park is located 200 miles east of San Francisco. The National Park is found in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California.

Galen Clark, nature preservationist John Muir, and a number of American presidents, including Theodore Roosevelt, have all been associated in some way with the history of the park. Galen Clark was one of the first persons to find the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoia trees located in the Yosemite National Park and played an important role in developing the park.

Yosemite National Park is home to a number of different forms of wildlife, including the American black bear, mule deer and marmots.

Visitors to Yosemite National Park enjoy the flowers, animals, rock climbing, hiking, fishing and numerous other attractions. One of the highest falls in the North America Continental is located in the National Park. Known as the Yosemite Falls, the waterfall is over 2,000 feet high.

Yosemite National Park campgrounds are in demand in summer, but people visit the park all year round. Outside of summer, the busiest period at the Yosemite National Park campgrounds is Thanksgiving week. 

Churches, schools, community groups and families all visit Yosemite National Park, sometimes for weeks at a time. Usually, groups that spend time at the Yosemite National Park spend a minimum of three days.

Yosemite hiking is a popular outdoor activity in summer and late spring. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy Yosemite hiking on trails which take them past the Mariposa Grove of the Giant Sequoias, John Muir’s Yosemite Falls and Merced Lake.

Popular Yosemite hiking trails include the Panorama Trail from Glacier Point and the Mist trail to Nevada Falls Loop.

That was a great trip I had reading this, not been there yet like a fool, I passed up the chance, so maybe next time I get to the states I might go, but then south western Canada… also has so very much to offer, I have been there so many times, and I still want to see more cheers Sharifa liked it lots.
