The best part of summer.
Hi one and all welcome to another wonderful week and it’s the day after the first day of summer. To celebrate the solstice my mother and I went to our favorite farmer’s market. For those who are familiar with the Lakewood Colorado area we went to the Market at Belmar. The place has a great atmosphere it’s never crowded to the point that you literally rubbing elbows while you shop and the fruits and veggies are the best. You have to get there early because as my mom and I found out the best of the locally grown produce goes fast, and though it was too early for our favorite produce (Colorado fresh peaches and cream corn) we were able to find some excellent asparagus. But even if you get there late you are still guaranteed to have a great time and find something to fit everyone’s taste. Another thing I love about this farmer’s market is that you can find one of a kind jewelry, purses, and home décor for decent prices. While I was there I found this fantastic white purse that had a cross decorated with rough turquoise beads, gorgeous but out of my budget (darn). Along with produce and décor there are baked goods, and the local animal shelter brings their van by for adoptions. Now we were there on father’s day and the fire department was running a dunk your dad booth for charity, and had the fire truck there for the little boys and the big boys to look around in. My favorite booths to go to at the market are the ones that sell baked goods, The Tibetan jewelry booth, and there is one booth that sells unique items made out of recycled materials handcrafted items. If I’ve peeked your interest the market at Belmar, On the South east corner of Peirce and Alameda parking on all sides. You can’t miss it. The Market’s opened only on Sundays 10:00 am to 2:00 pm,
