Canada is a truly beautiful country, and it comes as no surprise that people find it an attractive place to visit – and some find it attractive enough to move there from all over the world. Canada is a multicultural melting pot, and the most popular cities to move to are often the most interestingly diverse.

Toronto

Known for the famous Toronto International Film Festival, the CN Tower, and the sports franchises (Toronto Maple Leafs, Raptors, and the Blue Jays). Toronto has some great advantages to it, if you consider moving there, you’ll be close to the U.S. Border (less than two hours away), and Niagara Falls is about a two to three hour drive. Toronto is a booming city, with lots of sights and activities to do, you’ll be constantly entertained in one of the largest cities in Canada.

Toronto is a busy city, and it may be ideal for students looking for the hustle and bustle of the city life. With tons of beautiful scenery and shopping outlets, it is the preferred lifestyle of some. There are also loads of museums and art galleries in Toronto, and you can always find something interesting and fun to do around the city. Weather in Toronto is not always pleasant, and is often quite cold and snows frequently in the winter.

Vancouver

Vancouver is paradise for people with active lifestyles, as well as people just looking for a more relaxed lifestyle. With mountains touching ocean and amazing views of natural beauty, it is one of the top moving destinations in Canada because of the charming lifestyle people seem to live. Come 2010, Vancouver will be a very popular moving destination due to the Winter Olympics being hosted in Whistler (which is a top Ski/Snowboarding destination known worldwide). Weather in Vancouver is mild, often rainy in the Winter and Fall, which is comparable to Seattle’s climate. In all, Vancouver is a wonderful place to move to on the west-coast.

Calgary

Home of the Calgary Stampede, this Alberta city was the host of the 1988 Winter Olympic games – and when that happened, Calgary was suddenly one of Canada’s premiere destinations in North America. What makes Calgary an attractive moving destination is the Old West spirit. Line dancing and cowboys remain in fashion, and being so close to Banff and ski hills make Calgary an incredibly popular destination to live in for all ages. Scenery of the big country, ice fields, and other hidden treasures keep this city at the top of many people’s lists of top cities to live in. There are lots of great reasons why moving to Alberta is a good option for people of any age.

Montreal

French Canadian charm lingers about this incredibly popular city, known for its Art galleries, incredible cuisine, and of course the nightlife. French and English are the two main languages in Montreal, but it is one of the most international cities in Canada. Energetic and full of life, Montreal is one of the world’s greatest cities. Laden with tons of history and charm, I don’t think anyone could be truly upset with living in this beautiful city. Just be sure to get a moving estimate when you make the arrangements to move to this beautiful city, it could get pricey!

Niagara Falls

Home to the world famous Marine Land, and of course the Falls themselves, Niagara Falls is another top destination to live. Niagara’s wine region is, to some, a reason to visit the city itself. There is also the Shaw Festival, and Clifton Hill (which is a great tourist spot). An attractive place for honeymooners and couples to visit, some even choose to settle down in this little slice of heaven. Living in Niagara is a wonderful experience which many people partake in simply because of the laid back lifestyle, being close to the New York (Buffalo) border, and a never-ending
