Disney World

I went to Disney this past weekend.

It was so much fun! We left on Thursday so I got to get out of school early. I wasn’t the only person that got out early to go vacationing. There were two other people going to Disney and some more who were going skiing over winter break. The drive was a little long but it was worth it. By the way I slept most of the way. LOL. My mom, my two little sisters, my grandma, and I decided that we were going to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom. My grandpa even met up with us to go to Epcot. Once we got there it was about 8:30 p.m.  My grandma who lives in Florida was already there.  It was so funny because the hotel didn’t have her registered in the computer.  The lady at the front desk wouldn’t let her in at first. But the lady said if she knew our address then she would let her in.  Well once we got there my grandma told us what had happened.  So then my mother had to check in and the lady asked if we were with my grandma. My mom said she didn’t know my grandma and the lady obviously knew my mom was joking, busted out laughing. After we put our luggage in our room we went into the little stores that were in the hotel.  Immediately I saw a pen with the Disney princesses on it that was on sale. I knew I had to get it for my friend who is obsessed with different pens. At the other store I saw a cute t-shirt that was black and white and said Orlando Florida in newsprint.

But I had left my money in the room so we had to go to the room to get it.  I was only in the hotel for 15 minutes and I had already bought two things! I was disappointed that the hotel didn’t have free Wi-Fi. Seriously it was a nice hotel. I have stayed at worse hotels before and they have free internet. In the morning we went to breakfast in the lobby and they were so slow to seat us. The food wasn’t even very good. Plus they wanted us to pay $15 an adult! But they give us a coupon when we check in for buy one get one free and kids eat free.  That day we went to Magic Kingdom.  It was lots of fun. They have all the classic rides like it’s a small world after all and the teacups.  I couldn’t believe how crowded it was and it is only February. Just imagine what the lines are in the summer! We had to wait in line for 45 minutes to ride the Peter Pan ride that lasted only 5 minutes. Then we realized about the fast passes. Thank god for fast passes. We were able to fast pass the line for Space Mountain. Otherwise it would have been a 60 minute wait! Instead it only took us 15 minutes. The only bad things about fast passes is that u have to plan to be back at a certain time and you can only get one at a time. We didn’t know this until everyone in our group had gotten fast passes for Space Mountain even though they knew they didn’t want to ride it. My little sisters just thought it was fun putting their ticket in and getting a fast pass. Then we all wanted to get fast passes for Buzz Light Year but it said we couldn’t have more than one fast pass. When it was time to go on Space Mountain we had three extra passes to give away. So we found a family of three and they were so grateful. It turns out that they had dinner reservations because it was their daughter’s birthday and if they would have stood in line they would have been late. Space Mountain was awesome. It is a roller coaster that is completely in the dark. After that we went to where my mom was waiting and there was this lady who had this thing called a string thing that was so cool.  So we ended up buying 3 of them, one for me and my little sisters. Mine quit working by the next day so I had to exchange it. They wouldn’t just let us just exchange the string thing so they gave us a whole box with another base.  We were able to ride most of the rides except for the Jungle Cruise and the ones we didn’t want to ride because we ran out of time. On Saturday we went to Epcot. On the bus a bunch of people told us that they preferred MGM studios but I liked Epcot. Epcot has rides like Honey I shrunk the audience and Fast Track by GMC. Early in the day we decided to ride Mission Space. We thought 20 minutes was too long of a line for the more Intense part so we went on the easy one and got fast passes for later. When we came back later the fast pass line took us about 25 minutes. LOL. So we finally get onto mission space and there are 4 rooms of 10 little car things that each hold 4 people. First the space shuttle launches and my sister points out that she can’t lift her head.

Eventually I start feeling sick so I start looking at my knees which doesn’t help. Because the easy one was the same movie I knew I was half way through and I started thinking that I should take one of the barf bags as a souvenir but i didn’t. As we were getting off of Mission Space I saw the lady in front of me throw away her barf bag and wipe her mouth on her sleeve. At this point I was feeling good. So then we go see the characters. As we wait in line I start feeling worse and worse. It was our turn to see Mickey Mouse when all of a sudden I didn’t feel so good. I looked all green and I was afraid I was going to barf on Mickey Mouse. So I run out of the building but I don’t make it to the trashcans in time and it gets on my sweatshirt sleeves. I didn’t throw up much but I felt dirty. I ended up sitting behind a trash can while my grandma got me paper towels. It seemed like everyone was watching me. Some lady gave me some baby wipes and I thanked her. I felt better after I puked and I got some of my color back. Then to top it off my littlest sister tells me “We aren’t going home just because you are sick”. Way to feel loved. LOL. And when my mom hugged me she says “be careful you don’t want to get sick”. I wasn’t even contagious. LOL. I was just motion sick which I have never been before. We found out later that the ride was going 35 miles per hour in a circle so it would feel like we were in a space shuttle. Now I know that I can’t go on rides that are in small boxes and spin really fast. Next we went on Fast track and because my grandpa worked for GMC we got to go in the head of the line. It was faster than a fast pass.

If we would have gone on a weekday we would have been able to go in this lounge place and get refreshments. Man do I love that ride. You get to go through a series of tests like u were a crash dummy. It is the fastest ride in Disney but it isn’t sickening. Then we went around the world. Man is that a lot of walking. They gave us masks so we could go to each country and get a paper charm hung on it. We had to rush in to the last two before the park closed. On Sunday we went to Animal Kingdom. On the bus we talked to these two men that were obviously gay. They tried to guess how much we paid for our string things that my sister was playing with. At Animal Kingdom we got to ride the Jungle Safari and it’s tough to be a bug. We got to see the parade. The main thing I didn’t like was that Animal Kingdom closed at 6 pm. After the park closed we rode the bus to Magic Kingdom and rode the monorail to Epcot and back to Magic Kingdom.

To my sisters that is like another ride. Before we had to leave on Monday we went to some shops. My littlest sister got a backpack in the shape of Minnie Mouse and my other sister got a cute bag that was black and had Orlando written in white except for one that is pink all over it. My favorite park had to be Epcot except for the getting sick part. Now I know I don’t want to be an astronaut. LOL! Yet another thing they made me revise. So now this is the new and improved version.
