First of Seven Days of Shopping in South Florida

So you are in South Florida. The weather is unbelievable (hopefully you didn’t get here during a hurricane!), the energy in the air is electrifying, the people you meet are tanned, smiling, and always, always so, so fashionable. The only thing you can think of is: SHOP, SHOP, SHOP. But where should you go? Let me be your guide and take you on a shopping adventure. You’ll come back year after year.

Day1 – Let’s start your shopping experience with some flavor, with some spice, in Miami. Bayside Marketplace, Miami.

Begin your day with a journey around the world in stores like: Passage to India, Rue de France, Orient Station, World Time, World of Flags, Art By God, Bayside Cigars, Candle Time, Magnetique, Magic Hut, Medieval Times, Lucky Eyes, Miami’s For Me, or Glowstar. Here you can even mix and make your own, signature fragrance. We guarantee you’ll find something unique for all your special ones back home.

If your choice of shopping is towards upscale, sophisticated, and extravagant, then these stores are for you: Cache, Azteca de Oro, Chispa de la Vita, Enigma, Erwin Pearl, and The Landau Collection to name a few.

If you are looking for affordable, but still one of a kind, hip clothing then stop by: Mixx, Vendome, City Style and City Style Couture , some of the many, many shops on the bay.

In the bayside marketplace you can find anything from accessories (Beya, Le Bowtique, Claire’s, Sunglass Hut, Celebrity Jewelry, etc.), to bath and beauty (Bath and Body Works, Bayside Brush Company, Victoria’s Secret, Splash Perfumes, etc), technology and electronics, toys and hobbies, sports and fitness, shoes, music, books and entertainment, men and children apparel.

Hungry from too much shopping? Here, in the Bayside, you have a variety of cuisines to choose from. At Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. , Forrest Gump’s favorite seafood recipes come to life amongst costumes and props from the movie we all loved. At Mambo’s Café you can taste Latin and Cuban favorites while taking in spectacular views of the Bayside marina. If you are in the mood from some famous Argentinean steak then go to The Knife. In the mood for French dishes? Then go to C’est Bon or Che Pasta, or The Croque Monsieur. Nicaraguan Steak? Los Ranchos is the place for you. Italian? At Lombardi’s Ristorante. Or play it safe with Hard Rock Café, Chili’s, Hooters, Pizza Pizza, or Tradewinds Bar and Grill.

Cool off the Miami heat at Enerjuicer, La Gelateria, Let’s Make A Daiquiri, or Coco Gelato.

Some of Miami’s best bands perform live daily at the Bayside Marina Stage playing salsa, reggae, pop, top 40’s, and rock. Get in the spirit and let your body move with the sounds of music, or just sit and enjoy a beautiful day in Miami.

But this is not all. You can make a grand finale for your day by taking a fishing charter vessel, or one of the numerous boat tours available in the Bayside. The boats pass by breathtaking properties, properties owned by celebrities or some of the richest, most famous personalities. You can see Gloria Estefan’s house, Julio Eglesia’s, Enrique Eglesia’s, Jennifer Lopez, Sylvester Stalone’s, Rikki Martin’s, Frank Sinatra’s, to name a few. You can also see the house where “Scarface” was filmed, or Al Capone lived for many years.

After a day like this, you probably think that nothing can top it off. But you are wrong. Go rest, because tomorrow it’s another day of shopping in South Florida!
