An oasis of natural beauty is at the Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Visit to walk the trails, see the blooms, waterfalls, and much more.
Located on a 210 acre peninsula of Hamilton Lake at Hot Springs, AR the Garvan Woodland Gardens is an oasis of natural beauty. The dream of one woman, E. Fay Jones, she spend a lifetime of labor and love developing the gardens which will continue to bring joy to many for years to come.
The garden has paths that are an easy trek and then there are 3 miles of walking trails that take you deeper into the woods and along the shoreline of Lake Hamilton. We visited in April when the azaleas were at their peak. While there is beauty in the garden year round spring brings an abundance of spring bulbs as tulips and daffodils amid flowering dogwoods. Fall time you will find lots of colors in the mums and the turning leaves. And at Christmas time the garden is transformed into a wonderland as millions of lights illuminate the gardens for the Holidays.
The garden trains catch the attention of the young and old. A special garden area is dedicated to an extravagant model railroad layout with a spectacular trestle bridge among many features of the layout.
