Lindsey Graham Should be Disbarred FOR Writing Ndaa

The “honorable” Lindsey Graham should be disbarred from the South Carolina bar as he breached his oath to uphold the Constitution for his support of the NDAA.

Lindsey Graham is an inactive member of the South Carolina bar.  He studied law at South Carolina and was admitted to the bar in 1981.  After being a JAG lawyer, he won election to Congress, the House in 1994 for a seat that had been Democrat for a long time.  He led the impeachment fight against President Clinton in 1998.  In 2002, he won election to the Senate when Strom Thurmond retired, then finally died.  He won re-election in 2008.

When Lindsey Graham became a member of the South Carolina bar, he swore an oath to uphold the US and South Carolina Constitution.  Last month, he broke this oath when he voted for the NDAA, which was the spending bill for the Defense Department.  The most controversial part of the bill allows the US Government to imprison and detain US citizens without charges indefinitely.  Graham helped write the bill with John McCain and Carl Levin.  Graham makes no qualms that the bill makes the United States a battlefield and anyone who speaks against this bill is a traitor.

This law should scare the hell out of everyone who loves liberty and the Constitution.  President Obama said he would not use this against citizens, but he cannot be believed.  I voted for Graham for Senate in 2002 against my former college president Alex Sanders since I was in the vote for the R back then.  I did not vote for him in 2008 since the Democratic candidate supported the Fair tax.  In the unlikely event that Graham runs for re-election in 2014, I will run against him if there is no one else suitable to run against him.

Since Graham broke his attorney oath, he should be brought up on disciplinary charges for violating this oath.  President Clinton was suspended for five years from practicing law in Arkansas for lying under oath in his deposition in the Paula Jones case.  This perjury was directly related to the integrity of the legal system.  The same applies even worse to Lindsey Graham with his blasphemy against our whole system.

Attorneys in South Carolina have an ethical duty to report misconduct by other attorneys.  An investigation should begin against Senator Graham with the worst punishment being disbarment.  I am voting for Ron Paul for President since he is the only candidate who has condemned this evil law.
