Michigan’s Beauty Told Through Artwork

Beautiful Scenic Artwork of Michigan by Artist Kay Morgan.
Michigan is the 26th State, it covers 96,810 square miles. We art the 11th biggest state in USA. The name Michigan gets its name from the Agonquian Chippewa Indian word ‘meichigama’ meaning “big sea water”. They were describing our Great Lakes, which are Lake Michigan, Lake Superior, Lake Erie, Lake Huron and Lake Ontario. Michigan has 3,288 miles of shoreline, including 1,056 miles of island shorelines. It is difficult not to be inspired to paint these spectacular sights. You can be just running errands and drive by a swamp or a marshland with a Blue Heron or a Sand Hill Crane doing a little fishing.
Please enjoy my artwork of these places.
