Las Vegas: the city of bright lights, gambling, skimpy outfits, casinos and more bright lights. Overall, not the most appropriate place to take a relaxing family vacation. While the city has many attractions that will keep the adults entertained, it is hard to find a casino that the whole family can enjoy without being surrounded by drunken old men, young party goers and strippers. While most of the hotels on the strip are very similar, containing a casino, a themed tourist area and shopping centre, Circus Circus provides much more entertainment. This hotel does have the same basic things as all other hotels on the Strip but is the most family friendly.

One step into the entrance of Circus Circus and the difference is immediately clear. Children are running around with soft toys and balloons, carnival music is being played softly in the background and pictures of circus animals are hanging on the walls. The atmosphere of the hotel is light, fun and child friendly, the same as if you had entered a real circus tent. A walk through the hotel takes you past the casino and into the circus themed area which is set up exactly like a real carnival. People are lining up in front of stalls ready to try their luck at shooting moving objects, throwing balls in hoops or placing a small white ball in the mouth of a rotating clown head. There seems to be an unlimited supply of soft toys for prizes as customer after customer wins a game and receives a furry bear or a giant stuffed horse.  Children and adults alike are enjoying the circus atmosphere.

Past the stalls there is an arena where there is live entertainment regularly. Hilarious clowns, amazing acrobats and talented trapeze artists are among some of the performers that entertain every hour or so at the Circus Circus hotel. There is something for every member of the family. Large crowds gather around the arena a long time before the show, simply because they can get better seats than if they come in late and the performances are worth the wait. Some of the best circus performers in the world are working at the hotel, providing exciting entertainment for tourists and each act is well thought out and practiced. Some adults may not be as keen to wait as the children are, but after seeing the joy and amazement on your child’s face as they watch the entertainers perform stunts and tricks, it will all be worth it.

Circus Circus is still a hotel that contains a casino, and yes, it is still on the strip in Las Vegas, gambling capital of the world, but it is much more family friendly than any other hotel you will enter in the city. Children love it, the performances, the stalls, the balloon animals and cotton candy, and parents will be happy that they can allow their children out of their hotel room without having to cover their eyes so they can’t see that passing stripper. The atmosphere is much more relaxed and carefree making a friendlier place for a fun-filled, family vacation. Circus Circus is definitely the most family friendly hotel on the Strip in Las Vegas.
