Las Vegas is a great place to live because the economy is booming when everywhere else is falling. In Nevada, you can always find a job and the standard of living is low cost. Gas is around a dollar a gallon and rent is about $500 for a large apartment. Mortgage cost around $1000 a month for a four bedroom home. You can afford to live here. There’re so many entertainment center to entertain you. The one down side is that it’s hot here during the summer time. You have to hide indoor all summer long. It can be over 100F high. Other than the heat, Las Vega is one of the best place to live in if you want to save money and own a nice home. It’s hard to be a homeowner in California or other expensive states and the economy is poor too.

There’re all sorts of people here in Vegas. A lot of people move here from other states from the East Coast. They move here in hope to find better work. They’re nice here in Nevada but people here has one thing in common and that is “getting rich.” Everybody here has the ” I wanna be really wealthy” mentality. They’re competitive in the job market and it can be a down side to the job place. People here get jealous if you’re also in their market. The job market doesn’t follow all federal laws like other states. They will ask for female only to apply or male only, which is against federal law. They will ask for a photo every time you apply for a job. This is also against federal law and it left people that aren’t good looking sitting at home without a job.

In Vegas, it’s more about networking than qualifying for a job, which could be good if you know someone. It’s too bad that the workplace is not base on equal opportunities. This is how the job market is like in Vegas. For one thing, it’s run by the mob and that’s why it’s different than other states. There’re some sectors of the state that are very quiet and upscale and then there’re some that are crime driven and old looking. The East side of town is high in crime. You probably don’t want to live in the East side of town because it’s not safe. You can live in the West side of town or in Summerlin where people are nicer and the community is cleaner. If you’re looking to save money then Vegas is the place for you.
