Legal Warning

This is just a legal warning to make tourists driving through New Mexico aware that the police officers in small towns have not been properly trained.
Since spring time is about over and a lot of folk are getting ready to travel around during their summer vacations it’s about time this small legal warning was broadcasted throughout the states. When you travel into New Mexico as some fun loving tourists you had better beware because there are no properly trained police officers in any of the small town communities.
That’s because none of those small towns have enough cash to hire someone who has graduated from a police academy. The only places that rule is upheld are large cities like Albuquerque, Los Cruces and Santa Fe. It is only appropriate because Albuquerque is the largest city in New Mexico and Santa Fe is the state capitol that has the academy in it. It’s only a wonder that Los Cruces can afford them because it is located very close to the Mexican border.
It’s only appropriate that New Mexico was part of the Wild West way back in the eighteen hundreds. That makes it easier for small towns to hire cops like their forefathers did back then.
That means they are easily allowed to hire young men who had been kicked out of some police academy in some other state. It’s just a shame that the small town aren’t really checking the young men out very closely like they should. They are still acting like their forefathers did when telegraphs were the only way to quickly communicate.
One of the highest jokes available in this legal routine is that the young men that are hired don’t stay around. They only stay employed in that small town long enough to find a higher paying job someplace else.
This warning has been applied to help save you strangers from having your life span cut off by something like loosing your driver’s license. It could easily be generated because I know some folk who have lost theirs in some other states where the police force took advantage of their out of state license plates and gave them the harshest traffic ticket available.
