I Wonder If.

So many dreams to fulfill and so many things to achieve. Would it be possible to travel overseas on such amount like this?

I am a good traveller and I always say that travelling is sort of tonic for me. When I get home after a journey, I may feel tired, but this tiredness hasn’t got anything to do with that of work, everyday routine and constant commuting. It is different. I have a bath, prepare a cup of tea and I chill out looking at the photographs that I have made during my journey and I look to  the varied knick-knack bought.

But, unfortunately and although I am an European at heart, I have only travelled in Europe and Morocco. I know some European countries, as though they were my home. They almost have no hidden corners for me, I have never ever been across the Ocean. I do sometimes think I’d love to go to Argentina in search of my father’s remains and to find the place where he was buried. I’d like to drink their delicious beverage and watch a good Tango show.

I’d love to stroll in what is known as The Earth’s Lungs, that is Amazonia, before it finishes because of Man’s barbaric behaviour.

Being a good reader of thrillers and a Raymond Chandler’s novels set in San Francisco, I’d like to go there too.

An American friend used to tell us that if we want to visit a typically US city, we should go to Chicago, because New York City isn’t really an US one, in the same way that London isn’t a very English city or Paris isn’t a very French one. Maybe, but I’d like to arrive by ship to let the Statue welcome me. I like to stroll around, seeing a different kind of thing. They’ve told me that bookshops are very good in NYC too.

This is a dream that I would like to fulfill and I wonder if now with this economic crisis that is putting prices down, I could have a go on this amount of $6,71 that I happen to have accumulated at Triond. Do you think I could do? I am waiting for you to tell me how many things I could get on this amount I’ve got.

Well, unless I’m blessed with a job, which I’m searching, I doubt to fulfill this dream, if as I’ve been told, I’ll be paid a cent for every 300 views. Thanks for your contribution to help me materialise this!

My only advice would be to bet on the lottery such as the euromillion, who knows? miracles happen every day, or so they say.

Really good article and I very much enjoyed the read. I’ve taken many an armchair vacation due to lack of monetary funds. :) Good writing. Adding you as a friend. We have some common interest and I want to read more of your work. Hope you will read me too. You might enjoy reading some of my travel pieces inviting you to my New England world. Here is one on my home town…
