Travel Guide: Five Things You Have to See and Do when Visiting the Majestic Niagara Falls.
Niagara Falls is truly a memorable place. Being one of the wonders of the world, the Falls possess many things that you cannot find anywhere else in the world. So you can plan your trip to the Falls I’ve created this travel guide that list the attractions you have to visit.
- Cave of the Winds. The Cave of the Winds brings you closest to the waters of the mighty Niagara Falls possible. The journey starts by taking an elevator 175 feet into the Niagara Gorge. Then put on a souvenir raincoat and special footwear. Follow a tour guide on wooden walkways to the Hurricane Deck, less than 20 feet from Bridal Veil Falls. Here, experience the strong winds and enjoy getting sprayed by the water. There is a difference in seeing and experiencing, and Cave of the Winds certainly allows one to experience the fury of the falls.
- Maid of the Mist. Let the majestic Maid of the Mist boats take you into the basin of Horseshoe Falls. Given a raincoat you will depart on the historic boat tour and will be taken within 80 feet of the thunderous falls. While being drenched in the waters of the Falls you can know that money from your admission ticket goes to preserve the Falls.
- Niagara Falls State Park. Visit the oldest state park of the United States. Here make your way on biking and hiking trails, visit historic landmarks and statues such as that of Nicola Tesla, and go fishing in the river. Also here you can get unbelievable panoramic views of the Falls.
- Niagara Science Museum. Here the history of science is at its best. Appreciate the preservation of old scientific instruments and philosophical apparatus that you will not find anywhere else. Some of the things you will see were the first objects used for their purpose in the scientific world.
- Snow Park Niagara Falls. Enjoy winter any time of year at the Snow Park. With an outdoor NHL sized ice skating rink and the latest in snow making technology you can’t go wrong. Go sledding on the tubing hill, go skating on the rink, or go play on the snowzone play area. Enjoy winter fun for the family all times of year.
