Euclid Creek Reservation is one of the many beautiful Metro Parks we have in the great state of Ohio.

This long, narrow park, encompasses 345 acres and was established in 1917. It is located in Euclid, South Euclid, and Richmond Hts., Ohio. Euclid Creek flows north through the park before empting into Lake Erie, and it also drains runoff from the communities of Willoughby Hills, Highland Hts., and Mayfield Village. As the creek descends, ancient rock levels are exposed. The youngest level is the oldest 360, 000,000 year old Euclid bluestone at the upper south end of the park, and the oldest is 400,000,000 year old Chagrin shale at the lower north end of the park.
Euclid Creek Reservation is home to Beech, Oak, Hemlock and the rare Chestnut Oak trees, and among the wild life are Mallard Ducks, Swallows, Songbirds and many Hawks have been seen in the area. There are also many hiking trails open summer and winter, and picnic pavilions along with a children’s playground.
