All the information you want about your upcoming trip to Niagara falls.
The area we now know as Niagara Falls used to be inhabited by multiple tribes of Indians. Later, European explorers found the falls and wanted to inhabit it themselves. This was made easy by the fact that the local Indian tribes were having conflict and the explorers barraged right in and eventually took the land. After the war of 1812 people began to settle in, building houses, roads, etc. tourism to Niagara, didn’t start until the early 1800’s, but after World War 1, it increase with frequent automobile travel.
Niagara Falls is located on the United States and Canadian border. Several hotels attractions, restaurants, etc are found on both sides of the falls. However, when traveling, remember that you must have a passport to travel into the Canadian side of the Falls. There are a couple different falls at Niagara. The Horseshoe Falls is considered the largest, while the American falls some people says is the most beautiful.
Some of the attractions are great for kids, while others are oriented towards adults. ZOOZ is one of the main attractions for kids. This is a large zoo with over 400 animals hat u can come face to face with. There are plenty of diverse creatures you can see and learn about, and plenty of shows were you can observer the creatures as they interact. Another zoo like attraction is Bird Kingdom. Bird kingdom is another of the most visited attractions at the Falls with over 400 free flying birds in there natural habitat. This means that all the birds are free to move about the area while u walk threw observing the wonder. But watch out, you could be visited by some special birds either on your shoulder or head.
The Skylon Tower is another main attraction. Skylon Tower is a restaurant located over 500 feet in the air! The tower continuously rotates so everyone has a picture perfect view of the falls. The IMAX Theater plays a 45 minute video on the history of Niagara Falls.
If you are looking to get up close and personal to the falls, then the Maid of the Mist is for you! The Maid of the Mist is a boat ride right up to the falls. Hear you can hear the roar of the falls and get soaked in the mist. Good thing you’re wearing a poncho. But if you don’t want to ride a boat, then you can walk ad some of the trails on the cliff side and experience the same thrills.
Niagara Falls also has several tours you can take. Tours are offered either on a boat, in a helicopter, or by bus. On these tours remember what you see because you might want to come back again. If you want to take a romantic night out with your husband or wife, leave the kids at Niagara’s quality child care service.
Niagara falls is open 24 hours a day 365 days a year, but don’t wait book your trip as soon as you can so you don’t get stuck wishing you were there now.
