A closer look at Portland, Oregon.

Climate

Portland summers are often warm, sunny and dry with highs often reaching around 80 degrees.  Winters however are mild to cold and often rainy with highs of 46 degrees.  On average there are a total of 155 days with measurable precipitation which is one of the highest in the United States.  Snow is unusual but Portland has had major snowstorms throughout its history.  The climate is ideal for growing roses giving the city the nickname city of roses.
