Nico’s Recovery Room is located at the intersection of Pearl and Friendship in Bloomfield in Pittsburgh.  Bloomfield is known as Pittsburgh’s “Little Italy.”  Nico’s has karaoke every Saturday night starting around 9:30 p.m. although the crowd doesn’t start arriving until around 10:00 p.m.

Nico’s is made up of a small bar and a large dinning room.  The karaoke DJ sets up in the dinning room.

Nico’s must have the best gyros in the city.  Whenever I want a good gyro, I get it at Nico’s.  Management and the clientele take karaoke seriously.  If there’s a Steelers game or a Penguins game or a Pirates game on Saturday night you’ll have to watch it in the barroom.  On Saturday nights the dinning room is all about karaoke.  The lighting in the dinning room is kept low so as not to break the spell but there’s still plenty of lighting to eat whatever you order from the kitchen.  The kitchen serves fries, wings, salads, burghers, soups and of course gyros among other things.

Nico’s has won the Best Karaoke Award the last three years in a row from the PghCity Paper.  For karaoke on Saturday night, Nico’s is the place to be.
