This beautiful state park contains a number of scenic waterfalls and some you can ride down with or without a raft.
Ohiopyle State Park is located in Fayette County, Pennsylvania along State Route 381 in the southwest part of the state. Contained in the park’s 19,052 acres are a number of waterfalls mainly along the 14 mile Youghiogheny River Gorge. The Youghiogheny River Gorge was carved out by the Youghiogheny River.

The area is well known for whitewater rafting and kayaking and such activity is allowed in Ohiopyle State Park.

Ohiopyle Falls is not a tall waterfall at just 20 feet but it is expansive and is the centerpiece of the park. Viewing platforms allow visitors great views of the falls.

Cucumber Falls

Cucumber Falls is a 30 foot high bridal veil waterfall that is formed as Cucumber Run Creek falls into the gorge carved out by the Youghiogheny River.

Cucumber Falls can be reached by taking the Meadow Run Trail and also accessed via a parking lot along state road 2019. There is an overlook at the top of the falls and a stairway that takes visitors to the base of the falls.

Jonathon Run Falls

Jonathon Run Falls can be accessed by the Jonathon Run trail. There are a few waterfalls along the trail powered by the Jonathon Run Creek and the tallest is about 15 feet high.

Sugar Run Falls

Along Sugar Run Creek not too far from Jonathon Run Falls is the Sugar Run Falls which are about 25 feet high and can be accessed via the Sugar Run Trail.
Meadow Run Waterslides

Along Meadow Run Creek are the Meadow Run Waterslides where ripples and potholes have been carved into the stone by years and years of powerful currents and spinning rocks. You can ride down the Meadow Run Waterslides which is great fun particularity on hot days.

I like waterfalls too, that’s why my profile image is a “Niagara Fall”. They’re awesome and spectacular. Thanks for the great tour again.
