Tranquil Waters

Tranquility is what I hope you will find when you take a look at some of the most beautiful waterfalls I found on the net. Can’t you hear the rushing waters?

Fulmer Falls

Fulmer Falls, are located in Pike County, Pennsylvania.  There are two connecting falls attached to this one,  Factory Falls, and Deep Leap Falls.  Fulmer is the largest of the three.  I like the way this side of the falls moves gracefully down one path, and flows smoothly into the lake.

This is the other side of the falls, flowing seperately, but just as graceful.

Dark Hollow Falls

Here is Dark Hollow Falls, located near Skyline Drive, Virginia.  Because of a major campground, Big Meadows, being nearby, this falls are a very popular tourist attraction.  There are a set of four cascades that make up these falls.

The Glen Burn Falls

This mysterious looker is, Glen Burn Falls, located in Renfrewshire, Scotland.  The rocks are set  far away in trees and the stream’s  flow seems  light and harmless.  But looks can be deceiving.

Powerscourt Falls

Powerscourt Falls, are located near Enniskberry Wicklow County, Ireland.  In 1821, Richard Wingfield, 5th Viscount Powerscourt, decided to dam the falls.  When the waters were released, the bridge was washed away.  I enjoyed this one, because of how the sun lit up the suroundings, and how the falls seemed to be untouchable.

The other side of this fall seems to be very touchable.

Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls, are the most powerful falls in North America.  Ontario, Canada and Buffalo, New York are the two territories that seperate the United States and Canada.  Canada has the majority, 75 miles, of the falls.  The United States has only 17 miles of this natural beauty.

Yosemite Falls

Yosemite Falls, located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Califorina, are at a height of 2425 ft,which make it the second tallest fall in North America.  At a height of 2484 ft, Colonial Creek Falls, located in Washington , are the tallest falls in North America.  Yosemite is one of California’s  major tourist attractions, especially in the spring.
