The Beauty of Washington State

Washington is known for its natural beauty and outdoor activities. The next time you make travel plans bring your camera. Places to visit include but not limited to Hurricane Ridge, North Cascade National Park and Deception Pass. If you love the outdoor lifestyle, then you will love Washington with its ski resorts, boating, hunting and fishing. Of course you can’t forget the biking and hiking trails.
Hurricane Ridge: Located in the Olympic National Park

Hurricane Ridge is located 5,240 ft on the side of the Olympic Mountains. It is part of a coastal mountain pass stretching approximately 15-18 miles from Port Angeles along the Puget Sound. In the winter time, Hurricane Ridge is blanketed with snow even though the surrounding city stays green year long. Hiking and skiing are the main activities.
North Cascades National Park:

Deception Pass

Deception Pass is located between Oak Harbor, Washington and Anacortes, Washington. It is the main connector between Whidbey Island and the rest of Western Washington. The Deception Pass Bridge pictured at the top is just one of two bridges joined together to make travel on and off the island possible. The other alternative of entering or leaving the island is by ferry, approximately 60 miles south on Whidbey Island. I am proud to claim that this piece of heaven is located in my home town.
The photo located directly under the photo of the Deception Pass Bridge is called Bowman Bay. Bowman Bay is a part of Deception Pass. In late summer you can go crabbing here, watch the sunset in the late evening, and go boating or jet skiing.
